The law he refers to is here.

It basically states that I could sue them for reasonable attorneys’ fees and actual and statutory litigation costs, including expert witness fees, plus 3 times the actual damages (where “damages” is defined as the amount of money they didn’t pay me).

If it comes to that, I’ll make sure my lawyer is informed and ready to roll.

Hey Tone,

I seem to remember a law that was passed last november in Washington where if an insurance company denies your claim and do so without real evidence, then you’re entitled to sue them for 3 times the damages. I know they (insurance companies) fought like hell to get the initiative squashed but failed.

Might want to check in to that.
